We can't begin to say how excited we are to launch our newest project: Freedom Ranch of Missouri.

Here, Battered Mothers and their children will find a safe haven - a place where they can stay, out of harm's way, while they regain their equilibrium and find the path to a new life.

Fundraising Efforts

As you would imagine, helping mothers from across the U.S. find safety in a hurry cannot be done without funds.

Sometimes these mothers need cab fare or bus fare, sometimes - when they got out in a hurry - they need a fresh set of clothing for themselves and their children, sometimes they simply need some shampoo and toothpaste. And of course, our telephone bills mount up quickly when we're searching for a shelter with room to take someone.

That's why, every time a group volunteers to host a fundraising event, we're thrilled and gratified.

While continuing to write grant applications and add events, we have started additional Ways You Can Help. You may now purchase JC Penney gift cards for our Mothers with Children directly through our JC Penney link on our web site. More will be announced on the expansion of this service in our next update.

The development of our new Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) has been well received. While being newly established, donations and grants are promising. Anyone wishing to assist us in building our YEP to full operating capacity, please do feel free to contact us at BMRF.
